I really thought I wasn't gonna read this after the breakup at the start. It was heartbreaking and I didn't want more of that hurt. But I kept going and it was SO good. I don't even usually like murder mysteries. The characters were exactly what they were supposed to be. The main was clever but fallible. The supporting characters were loveable. The antagonist was deceptive and hateable. I was legitimately surprised by the ending. The little cliffhangers at the ends of chapters had me wanting to keep reading. Hugely recommend.
