Everything about this tickled my fancy. Just. Perfection. Vulture culture, foxes, old lesbians, dogs being the Goodest Boys. Abusive people getting their comeuppance. Single mom rocking it at being the best parent. Random ghost stories throughout. Yes to all of this. If even two or three of these days perk your interest too, read this.

I liked this a whole lot more than I was expecting to! And the cover definitely doesn't do all the artwork justice.

this book right here... Easily in my top 10 of the year so far and my favorite graphic novel of 2020 to date. I would like to give a high five to all the things covered in this delightful book (gender expression, sexuality, ethnicity, magic, ghosts, humor, friendship, intergenerational friendships, complicated (yet totally real) families, a three-legged dog... and more). I love Snap and Lu Lu and Jacks and mom so much, that I hope to see another installment of this character. Kat Leyh is also an illustrator for LumberJanes and other great books. RECOMMENDED.

This was by far one of the more healing graphic novels I have read. The story had it depths and yet the right amount of humor to make one smile. I couldn't put this book down because of how much I got dragged into the story and the art style. The representation was important, but also added in subtle way which made me feel seen as a trans person myself.
