As it was is a prefect mix of plot and character driven narrative. This is my second read of an Elle Rivers book and I’d definitely pick another one of her up. Her writing draws reads is with captivating plot and compelling narratives for characters. The mains characters is As it was are FMC Mollie and MMC Cain. Tropes this books focuses on are single dad, grumpy/sunshine, found family, duel POV, slow burn romance and forced proximity. I highly recommend As it was by Elle Rivers. I also recommend checking out her back list.
