I loved the first book in this series, and this one--while not as tightly written--was still a lovely installment. Great characters, great moments. Pretty abrupt ending, but the fab characters make up for that. Not as great as the first one, but I'm definitely tuning in for the next book in the series and anything else Skye Jordan wishes to write.

Renegades Book Two

Now that he's single again, Wes Lawson cannot stop thinking about the beauty he ran into at the airport with Jax - Rubi Russo. Since Jax and Lexi began dating, Rubi had been hanging around the stunt sets and working on some new apps for the team. However, Rubi is not into guys looking for more than a one night fling. No emotion. No friendship. As Wes wears down her defenses, Rubi gets more and more freaked out. When his brother needs him at home, Wes decides to give Rubi time to cool down and heads home. Meeting the family really isn't her thing, but Rubi decides to give it a shot.

If you're looking for a spicy story with fun, flirtation and family issues, this is the book for you!

4 NAUGHTY-COUNTRY-BOY STARS!!!!!!

I’ll give it to you any way you want it, any way you need it.

Shy & Tabby Own the Wind

Skye Jordan has done it again! I really enjoyed Wes & Rubi’s story. I tried not to compare it to the first book because I liked the first book better, but that’s just my opinion. So by itself, this book was really great.

My Wes:

Wes is a sweetheart. He dotes on Rubi with love notes on her car and is strong enough to hold on when Rubi loses it. Rubi is afraid of commitment, for good reason. I understood her perspective. She wasn’t annoying to me. Yes, it takes her a while to straighten out her feelings for Wes, but I enjoyed how their relationship developed, especially once they were around Wes’s family and she could see how a real family could function.

Wes is a hotty hot hotty!!!! He’s a good guy, but not in an annoying type of way. I usually go for the bad boys, but I really enjoyed Wes.

I’ve discovered there’s nothing sexier than a sweet country boy turned naughty.

description

My Rubi:

Love the hair!

Rubi’s father does not love her….at all. And he’s not afraid to come out and tell her so. Rubi doesn’t feel bad about herself. She is a strong, independent, and accomplished woman. Unfortunately, he is her only family, and their paths have to cross more than she would like. I like that up until the start of the book, Rubi has matured so much from what she has been through. There wasn’t an annoying amount of angst that we had to live through.

I won’t disappear, baby. I won’t open that trapdoor and let you fall.

I really enjoyed Wes’s family. It’s not easy for me to enjoy the extended characters, and I found myself enjoying the book more once Wes and Rubi was around Wes’s family. Wes is really close to his sister, who is a psychologist, and helps Wes understand Rubi’s issues from neglect.

Of course, this is Skye Jordan, so the sex is SMOKING HOT!!!

can go so many ways with this...

Ride me so I can watch your body move? Nothing turns me on more.

Can’t wait for what Ms. Jordan has in-store for us!!!

Maybe it was my mood or overall attitude but I could just NOT get into this book. I put it down several times and returned to it. I found myself drudging through the story. The story line was predictable and I have to admit I was even bored during the sex scenes. The ending was rushed. This book just wasn't for me.

Really enjoying this series about stuntmen. Never read any romances with that profession for the male character before so it's interesting and hot.

I'm really enjoying the Renegades books. The characters are well written and easy to relate to. They have a history that you can connect with and you end up so drawn into their lives that you can't help rooting for them.

This book moves on to Rubi and I just couldn't wait for her book. We'd gotten a taste of her boisterous personality in the first book and I just knew the author would have to give her a story too. Wes was a surprise though, I don't mean that I wasn't expecting to see him in the book, but my first impressions of him in the first book were off. He was much different than I imagined him being and that was a good thing. I really like him as a character and as a match for Rubi, they compliment each other nicely, if not for them getting in their own way.

I would have liked more closure on the situation with Rubi's dad, but not all things can be tied up in a pretty bow and I respect the author for bringing that back to my attention. I'm looking forward to seeing who all will feature in this series.
