The plot itself was pretty unbelievable, very unrealistic but it made for entertaining reading. Some incredibly dark themes are explored, with a struggling, traumatized main character who was quite likable. I liked that Camille was a sort of anti-hero, but sadly classic tropes about female beauty still existed for her - Over and over again its mentioned how beautiful she is, and all the men crush on her. The plot is pretty insane but the storyline and characters are strong.

So many trigger warnings. The narrator has no respect for herself and is extremely self destructive, that can be a hard point of view to read from. I finished this book quickly and did enjoy it! However, you spend the entire book leading up to the reveal for this huge mystery only for it to unfold quickly at the end in the last 10 pages. That was a let down for me.

A rare moment when the screen adaptation is leaps better than the original text. Still a brilliant story. Something that'll keep you up at night, but worse, one that'll haunt you, closing your throat whenever you'd want to bring it up with vulnerability.
