Started off well, but by the end I wasn't interested. The plot twist wasn't too hard to guess and seemed a bit unbelievable. I did really enjoy the first half of this book though

There are lots of creepy men in this book, but who is the creepiest?
The story starts off well, when a young mum, on a train, asks Ellen to hold her baby for a minute – then gets off, leaving the baby behind. (Subtle- as- a- sledgehammer motivation: Ellen’s on her way back from a fertility clinic.)
For the next few chapters, the book turns into babycare 101 – baby is crying loudly, sucking hard on her dummy, then spitting it out…whatever could be wrong?!
Luckily, a villain turns up and saves the book!
I did enjoy the twists and turns in the story, although some were pretty implausible.
Gilmour, nearing 50, was able to ‘cop off’ with both Ellen (41) and a stunning woman in her 20s ? Could happen, I suppose.
Baby seems unaturally passive, totally oblivious to being carted around by various people, hidden in a drawer etc.
And as for that final chapter with Dominic – what??? How??? Why???

Wow! This book has pulled me in from the very first page and completely kept me hook, line and sinker. This is a read which I have been completely unable and unwilling to put down.
Logan has planted the seed early in the novel and I have devoured every twist and turn, completely unable to guess or predict where this was going.
I have read other books by Logan but this is definitely my favourite and quite possibly the best yet.
I have loved the mix of characters in this one; there are many that as a reader you love and some that you hate. I haven’t been able to work out who is trustworthy and have definitely had a shock at the ending of this one.
I adore the cover of this novel, it is enough to catch the eye of the reader without giving too much away. Upon reading, I definitely recommend clearing a few hours because this is one that you will be completely unable to put down.
There is nothing negative I can say about this novel. The only thing that popped into my head was why would the woman leave her baby with a total stranger… however, this has been answered as I have devoured page after page.
This is definitely my favourite of this author’s books. I have been completely unwilling to put this down and blown away by how much I adore this wonderful book.
A definite five star read, one I definitely recommend checking out.
