Ellen is handed a strangers baby on a train, with a note instructing her to protect little Mia, and not to trust anyone else. Wow, this book was gripping right from the off! I even had a dream about one of the early events in the book. Trust Me was a rollercoaster with a very tense storyline, the fast-paced chapters made it so easy to read. I thought the characters were well written and I had no idea who to trust. The true identity of ‘the Ghost’ was well hidden, though I did suspect I was never sure. Another hit from one of my favourite authors!

Good tension, fast paced mystery with twists. My only negative comment is that the main protagonist kept putting herself in danger and made stupid decisions.

Imagine you meet a stranger on a train. They have their hands full so ask you to hold their baby – just for a minute. They step away to take a phone call. They get off the train – leaving you and the baby behind.

It’s a scenario that seems so likely, so terrifyingly possible, that any one of us could find ourselves at the centre of this story. It’s that instant relatability that makes Trust Me such a success, in my opinion.
