What I liked: It mostly told/followed a different magnolias story with the others being the background characters this time.
What I disliked: Sometimes the writing feels too 8th grade storytelling-ish.
Will I continue the series: Probably? If nothing else, they can be a palate cleanser for in-between heavier things. Sometimes I read for the sake of reading, not necessarily for the content :)

I think Dana Sue is my favourite Sweet Magnolia. Feisty, hard worker, compassionate and flawed like all of us. Dana Sue is a perfectionist and poor Annie, her daughter, had to deal no only with that but with her dad's transgression. I'm not a fan at all of cheating husbands. However unlike Bill, who had no remorse or felt he had done nothing wrong, Ronnie was really sorry for his one time affair. And Ronnie understood that he had to put Annie and Dana Sue as his first priority in order to win them back. So I won't begrudge Dana Sue's forgiveness.

The part of the story that made the most impact on me was Annie's illness (Anorexia). It broke my heart. I believe it was handled with respect. It was fun reading this story again.

The same happy-go-lucky uplifting read as the first book. This one covers eating disorders and diabetes, though to be honest the middle was really hard to get through because it didn't feel like it was going anywhere. They were just in the hospital for a really long time and that was it. The end finally picked back up again, but it wasn't enough.

Eu gosto muito dessa série, uma drama familiar, romance... mas o que mais me toca é as amizades retratadas aqui, é tão lindo!

This is the third Sweet Magnolia book I have read. Sheryl Woods writes good, fun contemporary romances. She tackles real life topics (weight gain, anorexia), but keeps her sense of humor.

I think I have read too many romances lately. I did not enjoy this one as much as the other ones by Woods that I have read.

Another sweet read for this series. I like how you get to know each of the Sweet Magnolias a little more in depth for each book. I am ready to read the third one to get a take on Helen.
