“The world was collapsing, and the only thing that really mattered to me was that she was alive.”

This was SO good. Wow. Definitely my favorite book of the series. There was so much action and war, which I always find super interesting. I loved all of the flashbacks to help us understand Luke as a character. Rick Riordan does an amazing job of giving us hints and details through Percy’s dreams and it’s so cool to see characters interacting outside of him. I loved seeing all our characters come together to fight Kronos. I loved all the Nico content. Loved getting to see more of Grover and Tyson, and Thalia. Rick even managed to make me sad over small side character deaths like Charlie Beckendorf, Michael Yew. and Silena Beauregard. This book ended so perfectly. The way the prophecy came to fruition was so good. PERCABETH. Percy literally giving up immortality for her?? I knew it took the whole series but jeez, the last ten pages? It was definitely well worth the wait. The underwater air bubble kiss is so iconic. And to finish up this series Rick did a great job setting up the Heroes of Olympus series. Part way through the book, I remembered that Rachel became the next Oracle, but I forgot that she recites the next Great Prophecy at the end. SO COOL. Overall, this was a bundle of nostalgia that I’m so glad I revisited and I’m so excited to reread the Heroes of Olympus series.
