I've read this so many times but I am STILL screaming, crying, smiling, and kicking my feet at "it was pretty much the best underwater kiss of all time"!!!!!

this was a good read, albeit i did find the amount of time spent on the main battle to be a bit much. it felt repetitive since there was a lot of back and forth where it was a lot of fighting with Percy being the main focus of it all and not a whole lot else. i think having more build up for a final battle would have been better, rather than have ~50% of the book be battle scenes. 

i liked that the ending tied together everything and even left a bit there for potential continuity in a later book. 

overall enjoyable ending to a beloved childhood series.

I love Rick Riordan's books with a passion! He is an amazing author and a fantastic storyteller. This book series got me back into reading again and I'm very happy for that. He manages to make the books enjoyable for the audience, and also manages to put in bits of knowledge and mythology, a great mix! Anyone older than me who has kids, please get your children to read these books, they are fantastic!
