I missed this MC world from Ashley, and it felt so good to be back!
Wren is a single mom to one cute little boy, Cruz. And all she wants is to provide him a stable, safe and happy life. This means she has to distance herself from her family legacy to ensure they will not be caught up in any dangerous situation.
However, things take a swift turn the moment she sees who, exactly, moved in next door. And once she spots her new neighbor riding a motorcycle, she knows not much good will come from it.
What Wren didn't expect was having said neighbor, Archer, helping her when she needs, without her having to ask. But no matter how kind he may seem, Wren knows this MC world. And she knows better than to trust it.
Wren is one strong character. She's hardworking and such a dedicated mom—her son is her priority, and no matter what life throws her way, or the wishes of her own she may have, she will always put Cruz first.
I love Archer! He's Mayhem Riot MC's President, an older brother to another cute little boy, Kane, and he's honestly too. damn. sweet!
He has a heavy past, however, the way this man views life and chooses to live it is worthy of admiration. No matter how unfair and hard and shitty life has been to him, he's always kind and nice to people, and this truly warmed my heart and got me all emotional—I wasn't expecting to melt so hard over him like I did. I love him.
The connection all these characters developed together is amazing. Archer with Cruz, Wren with Kane. And, of course, Archer and Wren. 🖤
Archer is 100% down bad for her, he's possessive in the best way, and he loves hard.
I knew Ashley had saved all the action for the end, but I still felt anxious when reading it. 😂 I think I will always have this reaction with her books—which is definitely not a bad thing. 👀
I cannot wait for what she has in store for us next!

Ashley Muñoz weaves a truly captivating tale in My Darling Mayhem, drawing readers into a world of small-town romance intertwined with the gritty realities of motorcycle club life. The story’s strength lies in its complex characters and the suspenseful plot that keeps you hooked from beginning to end.
Wren and Archer are compelling characters with layered backstories that make their connection all the more engaging. Their interactions are filled with tension and vulnerability on both sides, this aspect alone kept me coming back for more.
The storyline masterfully blends the perfect amount romance with elements of danger and suspense, keeping you on the edge of their seats.
In true Ashley fashion we get themes of family, loyalty, and redemption, resonating deeply with anyone that takes the time to read this book. The inclusion of Kane and Cruz added a truly heartwarming dimension to the narrative for me.
Overall Ashley can do no wrong in my eyes, her writing style is so unbelievably engaging that she has firmly cemented herself as a one click, must read, 10/10 author for me.
the last half of this book is really what had me rating this book 4 stars. this book, to me, took a minute to find its footing. I definitely wish I would have finished the Rake Forge series
before this book but now it makes me excited to go back and read them and then reread this book with all of the new information.
I was fully prepared to compare Archer to the Stone Rider boys but he was nothing like them. this man fell first and hard, he also didn’t shy away from telling Wren his feelings ASAP. I loved that. I wish we would have gotten just a little more back story on him though because I did feel like this was Wren’s book with Archer crumbs sprinkled throughout.
I loved Wren and hopefully when I go and read the rest of Rake Forge I will get even more info on her teenage years. I loved how feisty she was but also she sabotaged herself a lot with her attitude but it had me cackling 😂.
i’m interested in the second gen for the Rake Forge group but also i’m interested in Archer & Wren’s kids will be involved in the Stone Riders second gen books.

Favorite quote:
“If I had someone that was just mine, then I’d give her a property patch that said my name on the back. I’d kiss only her. F**k only her. Sleep with only her. Not a single person would get to touch me or be with me except her.”
I enjoyed reading Archer and Wren’s story so much! It was unique it that they were both single parenting— Wren to her son Cruz and Archer to his younger brother Kane. Their chemistry was instant but the walls around their hearts were high. The added elements of the tension with the other MC’s and Wren’s past/ secret identity were so suspenseful. (I love romantic suspense!) Such great start to a new motorcycle club series!
Thank you for the ARC— such a joy to read and review this book!
