SUMMARY:
Wren Vasquez crafted a perfectly simple life for herself and her son. It was peaceful and lonely, exactly how she wanted it. Then her new neighbor moved in and ruined everything. Archer Green. Not just a member of a motorcycle club, but the president. The leather jacket on his broad back, along with all its various patches might as well have been red flags, warning me to stay away all the while his looks dared Wren not to. Ignoring him was futile. Still, she tried. Until Archer showed up in her son’s classroom, ready to read for story-time hour. He’d found a way under her defenses…straight into her heart. Except, their worlds couldn’t collide even if they were tempted to let them. Not after they discovered a ruthless link they shared with someone from Wren's past. She’d always hoped for a fairytale, but even if she wished for a different ending to her story, Archer Green could never be a part of it.
REVIEW:
My Darling Mayhem is my first book by Ashley Muñoz that I've read and what a good book to start my introduction into her writing style. This book is a contemporary romance about Wren Vasquez a single mom in a small town who created a simple, peaceful and lonely life for herself and son until Archer Green the president of a motorcycle club moves in right next door. They didn't have the best of introductions that didn't get any better with each new encounter as they ended upset with each other. The moment that Wren met Archer for the first time when he moved into the house next to her was just the start of there mutual dislike for one another as they had judged the other before even getting to have an actual conversation. It wasn't until her son and his younger brother become friends at school that things start to slowly change enough that they start to feel the pull of attraction.
When Wren found that Archer was the older brother of her son's new friend at school was the moment things started to change in a different direction for them both as they were starting to get to know each other better. It was such an exciting moment when Archer gave Wren his property patch to show her that she was important to him and he loved her with Wren accepting as she felt the same way. When Archer's father kidnapped Kane was such an intense moment as Wren had to decide in those moments how she would save her new son because Kane was just that and meant everything to her. Though as they start to get serious that is when everything takes a turn for the worse for them both. Wren is such an independent woman that loves her son and Archer is a strong man that loves his brother so when they are both in danger they come together to save them both. Ashley Muñoz delivers a wonderful story of a single mom with a dark past that falls in love with a man that has a dark past and present that will lead them to heartache but end up with eternal love.

This is a spin off kind of from Stone Riders and Rake Forge. I don’t feel you HAVE to read either to enjoy Archer and Wren. However I would recommend Rake Forge because there is cross over from that series and it’s heavy on the back end.
Archer and Wren were delicious! Though the pacing of their relationship before they got together felt odd in places. I don’t really know how to describe it. Like they each had their own separate POVs going on and had just a handful of interactions that started from she didn’t like him to he’s fallen in love over night. And I know this all happens in short amounts of time in fiction. But time usually feels irrelevant, it didn’t hear it felt short and odd. Though the plot with Wrens family and then the MC kept me completely invested.
Okay now on do the cross over, WTF was up with Juan and the twins?! I get Juan isn’t running things anymore. When we left RF Kyle was, but then Juan’s two shot head twins come blazing in ready to kill their aunt and her MC daddy?! But then completely act their age (19), when Kyle and Juan show up. But Juan genuinely seemed scared of them at Wren’s. That whole situation confused the hell out of me. Like the Juan I remember would have beat their asses. Also I see an MFM in their future…maybe?! The whole thing surrounding the twins has so many questions left unanswered. Like what happened? I’m assuming they will get a book?!

I really enjoyed My Darling Mayhem. Archer was sweet and helpful and I really liked how he immediately wanted to take care of Wren. As a single mom, Wren was good at doing things on her own, but I loved how she admitted that she needed Archer's help and actually let him help her. Archer was the perfect big brother and I really loved how protective he was and how he was trying to get custody of his brother. Those actions really painted the perfect picture of who Archer is and he showed that throughout this book in the way he interacted with Wren and her son.
The ending had a bit of suspense and a perfect HEA.

Reviews:
That ending I really hope there will be more to this story, I know it’s a standalone but maybe a interconnected…maybe. We have Archer Green who is the president of a MC, he moves next to a single mom who name is Raya. She tries to avoid him because she knows the world of MC, or so she thinks, she wants to protect her and son. But Archer wiggles his way in along with his little brother. Now things happen she finds out things about her brother that she didn’t know and it all comes to a head.
I really loved this audiobook, the FMC is amazing. I definitely need to look more into her. I would definitely recommend.
