Fourth and last in the Pregnancy & Passion romance series revolving around four business partners who are also friends. The couple focus is on Pippa Laingley and Cameron Hollingsworth.

My Take
It's okay. A very typical Harlequin romance with loving, caring friends and an idiot man.

I do like Banks' premise in this story: Never settle for less and don't be afraid to go after what you want. If only she hadn't also thrown in the clichés in which Pippa changes her mind so easily and quickly. Sure, anyone is entitled to change their mind. Man or woman. However, I'd like something with more depth. Of course, that's not what the Harlequin romance series is about and it's wrong of me to expect more. I think it's simply that I had expectations in reading a Maya Banks story and I'm disappointed.

Okay, so three waiters don't show up. Why doesn't Pippa call the agency and get them to send more people? What caterer, pinning such hopes on a new gig, would abandon the party?

I do love the scene where Cam sneaks into the spa and takes over her massage.

Don't get me wrong. It is a sweet story about love and pregnancy and wanting what's best for your child. And, yes, I will probably seek out the first three stories in this series because I wanna know… I am such a sucker for a romance.

The Story
Pippa Laingley is about to make her bakery and catering dream come true, but one passion-filled night with Cameron Hollingsworth is about to crash it down about her ears.

The Characters
Pippa Laingley has a loving circle of friends and a fabulous substitute mother to replace her own selfish life-provider. Sylvia, Carly, Ashley, and Tabitha are those friends. Miranda is Pippa's utterly selfish mother.

Cameron Holllingsworth lost too much when Elise and Colton died and he refuses to take a another chance. John is an assistant? butler? to Cam; he's also assigned to drive Pippa anywhere she wants or needs to go.

Ashley Carter is pregnant and one of Pippa's best friends (Tempted by Her Innocent Kiss, #3). It's her housewarming that Pippa is catering. Devon is her madly-in-love husband and also one of Cam's best friends as well as his business partner. Gloria and William Copeland are Ashley's warm and loving parents.

Rafael de Luca and Ryan Beardsley are the other two business partners. Bryony is married to Rafael (Enticed by His Forgotten Lover, #1) and they have a daughter, Amy; Kelly is married to Ryan (Wanted by Her Lost Love, #2) and they also have a daughter, Emma.

The Cover
The cover is obviously a generic cover that Harlequin tossed onto this book as it doesn't have much of anything to do with this story. Well, okay, yes. There is a man, a woman, and a bed in this story, but I wouldn't count on any other similarities showing up.

I haven't a clue where the title came from. Especially when it's Pippa's aggressiveness that Cam seems to like so much.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually liked this one.

Cam's transformation is so well done. (Though he is a bit forceful with his will at first, it's understandable considering his past)

My only issue was with how up in arms Pippa gets the day she finds out the condom broke. Like "how soon can I take a pregnancy test" was a bit ridiculous to say the day after you had sex. Did you never take a high school sex ed class? She's just a bit too ridiculous for me in the beginning. I will say that I did grow to like her.

This was probably my second favorite in this quartet. I found that our hero and heroine, Pippa and Cameron, had some of the most honest interactions. Unplanned pregnancies can happen every day and they seemed to be very honest with their feelings and were not afraid to let the other know. I still did have some problems with the story but I think that was more due to the length constrictions than the story telling. I was hoping for some extra commentary or explanation in some points but overall I found this to be a very enjoyable story and a great conclusion to this series about four friends with commitment issues but find themselves on the verge of being fathers.

Sometimes the unplanned pregnancy works and sometimes it doesn't. I thought the circumstances behind it worked here.

Pippa is a strong, independent woman. She owns and catering business she's looking to expand and she isn't looking for a relationship.

Cam has had a thing for Pippa for ages, but he has no intention of acting on it. He's already loved and lost, and he has no desire to do so again.

But after what's supposed to be a one night stand, Cam realizes the condom has broken. He doesn't really want a wife, but he wants Pippa safe and cares for if she's pregnant, so he offers marriage....and is shocked when she refuses.

Pippa wants more than a cold, loveless marriage just because she got pregnant. And she's pretty sure she can never have that with Cam. Or can she?

I liked that Cam was the one who realized there was a chance of pregnancy. It was a nice change from the usual.

Cam has baggage he doesn't want to deal with, which is hard on any type of relationship they might have. He's determined to keep Pippa at arms length, but finds it hard to be away from her. This means he's putting put mixed signals which confuse her. I don't blame her. He was all over the place. But the glimpses of him without the shadow of his past hanging over him made him a likable character.

Pippa was also a likable character. I was glad she didn't let Cam railroad her into a relationship just because of the baby. It was good to see her holding out for more, instead of accepting whatever crumbs he'd give her. I was somewhat bothered by her reaction to his past. I understood why she felt the way she did, and even applauded her for standing her ground, yet I wanted to see a bit more compassion and understanding. She came off as selfish on one level, which I don't think was the intention of the author.

That aside I thought this was an angsty, emotional story.
