I'm not sure what I thought this was going to be, but it was definitely not that.
It had its funny moments, but this graphic novel would do much better in a video/film/other live action medium. The funny moments are often missed the first read simply because it is difficult to get the tone/pace/pause/stress right for the jokes when reading them.
The ending was pretty meh--the two vampires took each other out like they apparently always do every so many years because they're immortal and they have nothing better to do. Don't even get to see the last scene.
The story was hard to follow at times and it is very text heavy. I did enjoy the art though I found it interesting that none of the characters had mouths (unless vampire bite), but the emotions were still quite clear.
Okay read but just that...okay.

Several funny moments.
less elaborate than I expected. It’s mostly episodic satire that involves silly paper thin plots.
I enjoyed the :
- banter
- ethnic diversity.
- unjudged queer love.
- little sections of the drawings - such as Byron’s hair curlers, and the drugged dreams.

This book had a fun premise and it was very funny, but I found the plot to be quite messy and confusing. Most of the time, I couldn't determine what was going on (and not in a good way that would keep me trying to figure out what would happen next). I also found the characters very one-dimensional and this often made it hard to understand (or care about) their motivations. Even when those motivations were stated, they often didn't make sense to me.
As other reviews have noted, the complex story and lengthy dialogue didn't seem to lend well to a graphic novel and might have been better suited to a novella.
