Een leuk en geinig boek over Olivia en al het kattekwaad dat zij doet (al heeft ze daar een heel andere mening over :P). Ze besluit haar moeder (en vader) af te luisteren (al noemt ze het zelf spioneren) om te kijken wat ze nog meer over haar te vertellen hebben. Ik vond het hilarisch om te zien hoe ze helemaal opging in haar omgeving, of in ieder geval het probeerde. Het einde was erg leuk en OMG hoe heeft niemand dat door? Haha, oh Olivia. En die laatste pagina, daar moest ik nog harder bij lachen. Die moeder heeft haar handen maar vol met zo'n dochter. Hihi.

Oh, Olivia. This piglet cracks me up. What a cute story. Olivia is such a smart cookie. I really enjoyed this book. Would've loved a heart to heart with Olivia and her mom. I think it would have been a great teachable moment for parents and kids reading this book.

Si el niño elije este libro y como adulto le ayudas (comprar, regalar, prestar) para que pueda leerlo, ten por seguro que es una buena elección. Si como adulto, te gustaría conocer un poco más sobre el libro, entonces te invito a leer la reseña:
Fue el primer libro que leí de Olivia, me pareció un libro divertido y con muchas ocurrencias, Olivia como personaje es alguien “atrevido”, aventurero y poco empática; estos rasgos la llevan a que “todo puede pasar en la historia”, lo que se traduce en situaciones alocadas y con elementos aleatorios en la trama. Las ilustraciones son prácticamente a blanco y negro con un alto detalle en los personajes, con fondos blancos o simplificados.
En este libro, Olivia escucha a su mamá platicar de ella con su tía y decide que va a investigar, esto lleva a que espíe las conversaciones de su mamá, lo que mal entendidos y malos ratos.

Oh that Olivia! Fans of Olivia books will love the misadventures and misinterpreted messages of Olivia "spying" on her mother's phone conversation.

Especially enjoyed the mixed-media illustrations. Outstanding artwork, the predictable storyline is secondary to me.

June 2017 - Definitely over Ben's head, this definitely has adult appeal and probably slightly older kids, or at least ones who are into spying and get the institution joke. Hilarious to me, but it didn't hold his almost-bedtime attention.
