3.5! i loved the premise of this story, and i think the execution would have worked better for me without the drama at the end. a delightful read regardless, made me cry multiple times

A great premise and an easy read! I enjoyed learning about the characters but a few things were too predictable and the pacing was uneven

It was ok. There were very unnecessary plotlines that took pages and pages to resolve and forced the resolution of the museum’s plotline into an epilogue. Did the author make Luce pregnant just so she could cradle a 6-week belly and wisely muse about why mothers do things? Did we need to know about Jess’s father? Couldn’t Alex just have been Barclay’s great-nephew instead of that whole drawn out backstory?

I guess I wanted Jess to find success with the museum on her own but I feel like we didn’t have enough time to have that happen.
