I do not work in Marketing (exactly), nor do I pretend to on TV. I am a product manager, so I do some marketing-related activities and work with marketing teams. (Please have me write your next Product management job description!!!!)

After coming across it in a list of recommended reads for product managers, I decided to read this book. I found it to be quite interesting. Although some of the information may have been basic marketing knowledge, it was valuable information for me as someone who has never taken any marketing courses. I'm happy I read it because it's relevant to my life as a product manager.

I have been in marketing for around 6 years and I still have lots and lots to learn, I have read a couple of business and marketing books, however this is one of the best so far! Can't recommend enough to anyone in a marketing role or even thinking of it. Also great to see even more recommended books at the end.

Not so much actionable steps, more an opinion about the ethics of marketing. An ideology.

Has a lot of gems, but the way the book has been put together, it's hard to retain the information. It's all over the place with little structure.
I also wish he had used more case studies or examples to make his point clearer. Sometimes, the point he's trying to make is very abstract.

Keep taking notes when you read!

This reads like a series of tweets. Terrible.
