more Blume catch-up! This was a solid Fudge series entry, maybe my favorite so far, though the first couple are already a blur.

A whole three weeks with Sheila Tubman?! Peter's summer is not looking very good. Fudge is enough of a problem on his own and now Peter has to live right next door to Sheila on his vacation. An escaped myna bird, a baseball legend and Jimmy Fargo visiting add to the antics in the third Fudge book. Blume once again does a great job and rereading it really brought me back to my childhood.

Another summer of the same kids we know and love, just a little older with a few more familiar life problems we can all relate to!

This was my favorite series as a child and I still love it! I’ve read these books a million times since I was 9 and I will always love this series! I usually reread this series every year but haven’t gotten to in a while. I read this to help my reading slump and it worked. These books will always hold a special place in my heart. I didn’t grow up reading Harry Potter so this was the series that really influenced me as a child.

"Peter Hatcher can't get a break. His little brother, Fudge-the five-year-old human hurricane-has big plans to marry Peter's sworn enemy, Sheila Tubman. That alone would be enough to ruin his whole summer, but now Peter's parents have decided to rent a summer home next door to Sheila the Cootie Queen's house for three whole weeks!" (From Amazon)
Yay, more Fudge-a-mania!

Like [b:Superfudge|57590764|Superfudge|Judy Blume|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1617211554l/57590764._SX50_.jpg|160962], the story here is better than I remembered and was a lot of fun to read aloud. At one point my son protested "So many characters!" and I have to agree; there are quite a few people staying in one house along with the many individuals in the nearby town, but Blume does a great job of giving everyone a distinct personality and impact on the story. I even softened a bit on Sheila, who I've strongly disliked in the past, and am now even interested in reading [b:Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great|80670|Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great (Fudge, #2)|Judy Blume|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1617549704l/80670._SY75_.jpg|2908333] to understand her perspective better.
