I wish this lasted longer than it did, that the ending stretched on forever to countless adventures. The ending felt a bit abrupt to me, I wish they reconciled properly and had a prolonged conversation. I wish we got to know more about Selendrile. But this was a lovely story, the perfect adventurous light read.

This is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. Alys is accused of witchcraft and therefor left, tied up, on a mountain by the people of her village, to be eaten by the small dragon roaming nearby. She gets free before she sees the dragon and wonders what to do. Then she see's the dragon. She kind of wants to get this over with so she starts throwing rocks at it to get it's attention. The dragon soars over andturns into a 17-year-old man, Selendrile. Instead of eating her, he offers his help for her to get revenge on the people who made the accusations. She agrees and they set out to get revenge.

I loved the entire book from start to finish and am happy to give it 5 stars!

This was kind of cute and had a "lesson" to it. I would say this was a children's book except that people die in it.

Super cute young. Really going to start focusing on more adult rather than younger adult or young. Just not feeling as complete but cute and cozy  young. Really going to start focusing on more adult rather than younger adult or young. Just not feeling as complete but cute and cozy

I can't express how much I love this book. Every time I read it, I seem to have forgotten a detail and so it makes each read feel a little new.

Alys is such a great main character. She wants revenge, but she's still human, still has feelings for the people who wronged her, she's perfectly flawed. Selendrile is my favorite dragon ever. He's so sharp witted, clever, hilarious without intending to be, that he captured my heart from the get-go. I love their dynamic and
Spoiler that Selendrile asks her to stay. AND SHE SAYS YES. I love them so much. Revenge couple goals?

I could read this a million times and still enjoy it.

Felt that this was a little too short. Not much care about characters and the story wasn't that interesting to me.
