I just didn’t like this book at all. The plot had so many holes, the character development fell flat for me. The twists and turns of the plot made no sense and the ending felt convoluted and rushed. Just not a book for me.

I picked this up because of how much I enjoyed the Kingdom of the Wicked series.
"Throne of the Fallen" is the latest fantasy stand-a-lone from Kerri Maniscalco. Prince of Envy is trying to protect his court, so when he receives a cryptic note, he has no other choice but enter a deadly game. Camilla has gotten on the wrong side of a very influential enemy. She is now being blackmailed, and in an effort to not be involved in a scandal, she is forced to work with Envy. The pair go on a journey through the Underworld and are trying very hard to not fall in love.
I was really excited to pick up this book, but unfortunately, I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The story ended up being way too long, and it took me a LONG time to really get into it. I loved seeing the passion and chemistry between Envy and Camilla, but the rest of the story really dragged for me.
This book does have some great world building, and I think Kerri Maniscalco has really found her place in what to write about. I was also shocked by some of the reveals at the end, which was a fun way to conclude the story.
Although slightly disappointed by this book, I will still read from Kerri Maniscalco in the future.

Throne of the Fallen is the adult fantasy romance debut from Kerri Maniscalco. It’s Prince Envy’s story from the Kingdom of the Wicked world. Along with his romantic lead, Camilla Antonius. This was a fun steamy book that expanded on a fan favorite Prince of Hell’s story and I’m looking forward to the other two Prince’s stories (particularly Pride and Lucia!).

This is definitely waaaay better than the Kingdom of the Wicked series. I love Envy & Camilla!

The bonus Wrath/Emilia scene was 10/10, wish it was longer.

The amount of tabs I have in this book is ridiculous!!! I just LOOOOVE Camilla & Envy!! And the sass!!! Camilla is so sassy, I love it!! She gives it right back to Envy, beating him at his own games! 💚
The twists & turns in this book were incredible too! Some I saw coming, some that took me completely by surprise!
And all the references from Kingdom Of The Wicked! And the jealousy between Envy & Camilla is on point! I can’t get enough of it! I already want to reread it!
In the words of Kerri herself..
"For those who can’t help falling for the villain and love a sinfully wicked fairy tale, this one is for you."
