This one was a lot better than the first volume. I connected more with the story and the characters, probably because all the set up happened in the first volume. I felt like I was really getting into the story and of course the art is fantastic as always.

This one felt way more aimed at kids than the first one. I enjoyed the first one so much but I didn’t enjoy this one at all. I still want to read the next volume hoping that it will be more like the first though.

Okay, this one was more cohesive in terms of storytelling. But it was still just as fun! I love the spin on water names in the sea kingdom. The humor is fun and it’s still such an entertaining spin on the epic hero quest!

After reading the first book in this series a bajillion times, I finally picked up the second book. And I was not disappointed! This second book was just as cute and fun as the first one!
