Enjoyable story - I felt it was longer than it needed to be though. The main two characters were brilliant and had excellent chemistry and the ending was fitting. Some bits in the middle were a bit slow for me though.

My first and only Stephen King book so far and I loved it! The premise was really cool and although it's obviously very long it never once felt like it was dragging along. I saw a few reviews about the ending being crazy and people loving the book but not the ending but I disagree, I liked how it ended!

I thought to myself “what story could possibly take 31 hours/ 800+ pages to tell?” As usual, I understand now what I couldn’t have if I never started.

I thought this book would only be about time traveling back in time to stop the JFK assassination. I was so wrong. Instead, it was the making of a man. Because of the books length, the main character could be fully etched out. His feelings were not surprising to me. His moral compass was paramount. His sadness unbearable. I loved hearing how he built a life for himself.

In the end, it wasn’t about the JFK assassination. It was about the profound difference each of our actions make. It was questioning what’s worth the risk and how far hope can go. Most of all, it’s a love letter to the present — something every single person contributes to, what a great group project.
