This book was an exceptional tale that I will cherish for a long time. I wish I had picked up the novel sooner but nonetheless worth the read at any time in life!! I would sum it up as a wondrous adventure novel told from the view of a not-so-significant hobbit (that later demonstrates his worth exceptionally). And leaves me wishing I could have a chance at picking Tolkien’s mind and know of a land filled with dwarves and wizards and goblins.

(Audiobook). The Hobbit is a classic story. This audio version was corny and cheesy but also just right. There is music that backs up the tale. The voices are a bit difficult to understand. But to those familiar with the story or those who aren't: this is a nice easy listen.

I listened to the dramatized version of this book narrated by an Ensemble cast and I might say it was an amazing! What a great journey of adventure and friendship.

I hadn't realized it was a dramatized version. Other than losing track of who was speaking sometimes, I enjoyed it very much.

I originally read this book in high school and not remembering much about it except that I didn't really like it. Since so many people do (and I love the LOTR movies), I decided to try it again to see if I felt differently about it. The full cast was wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed that part. JRR Tolkien is a skilled writer. However, I still feel the same way that I did many years ago: the story is boring and I couldn't wait for it to be over. I wanted to like it, but I just didn't care. I find Bilbo to be rude and unlikeable and the dwarves are whiny and greedy. I could care less if they completed their journey.
The dramatization was fantastic and it was worth my time for that. At the end of the day, I still do not like this book, but I am very glad for those that do.

honestly, didn't love this abridged audiobook rendition. I'd like to give it another go as print.

I struggled with the written version, and the audio one did me no better. It's fairly slow paced and I found it a bit... boring.
I definitely don't enjoy dramatized books. The music and sound effects are distracting at best.
