Disclaimer: I received an eARC from netgalley in exchange for a review.

Sasha Graham’s 365 Tarot Spreads is an interesting study in creating tarot spreads. She wrote the book to fill the gap that appeared on bookshelves, noticing that there was no “daily tarot spread” book out there. Each spread in this book, then, was created by her (or some other notable tarot alums) for practitioners to use on a daily basis. Many of the spreads were created based on: historical information, pagan or astrological date info, or literary and pop cultural reference.

What I liked: This book should be a quick read. Graham includes a wide variety of spreads and topics to fit any request. Readers could use it as a tarot-a-day study guide or just flip through the pages until a spread they need pops up. As one who loves designing spreads for her own uses, I looked at this book as a way to see the wide variety of spreads that a single person (in this case, Sasha) could create. It’s a highly creative volume of spreads.

What I didn’t like: This book took me forever to read. The layout includes so much side-bar information that it’s a bit overwhelming and cluttered. After the book came out and I purchased the epub file, I found the file horribly designed. The spread layout images were tiny and the formatters attempted to design to the print layout, rather than to the device. Ugh. It really made reading the book on a device harder than it should have been.

Bottom Line: Love tarot spreads? Then add 365 Tarot Spreads to your collection. I’ve flagged many of the spreads that I’m sure I’ll look back to over and over again for my own use. I also recommend that you buy the print version of the book (yes, it’s huge and heavy) and skip the eBook due to the layout issues. Other than that… it’s a great resource for any tarot library.

Overall, a book I really liked. It is what the title says: a collection of 365 spreads to use with Tarot, or oracle cards if you prefer, one for every day of the year. You do not have to use them on a specific day, and you can certainly browse at your leisure. A nice basic addition to a Tarot/cartomancy shelf, especially for beginners.

I have been reading this (or: doing spreads from this) for quite a while since I got this for Christmas in 2017, occasionally doing a spread here and another there. Now I think I've gone through all the spreads I think I'd like to do.

There are some quite useful spreads in the book, but most of the spreads are geared towards specific situations and if you're not in that situation... too bad, that spread's useless for you.

This book is exactly what the title says. It contains 365 different tarot spreads, each one assigned to a particular date, from January 1 through December 31 (including February 29). At first I was a little surprised that they were assigned to specific dates, but once I realized the depth and care taken for each choice, it all made sense.

Each spread is chosen specifically for its date, based on various historical events, holidays, traditions, and more. What I love about it is that it’s clear how much care and thought went into each choice. Every day not only has a spread, but a description of the spread and why it is meaningful for that particular day, along with a quote, and a tarot card whose meaning goes well with the given theme for that day.

I was shocked by the variety of spreads available in this book, even though I knew there were going to be over 350 of them! There are spreads to cover just about any base one could think of:

- Astrological signs, Planets, Tarot suits, and the Major Arcana
- Relationships (Happy Marriage, Find Best Partner, Sibling Issues, Divorce)
- Pop Culture (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Mary Poppins, Lovecraft)
- Health (Diet, Exercise, Healthy Eating, etc.)
- Interesting Phenomena (Synesthesia, etc.)
- Career (Unhappiness at Work, Should I Take/Quit This Job?, Advancement)
- Esoteric (Six Realms, What Does Tarot Mean to Me?, Your Personal Symbol)
- Holidays (Mother’s Day, Int’l Women’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, etc.)
- Financial (Investment, Starting a Business, Contracts/Legal Documents)
- Decision Making (Root of the Problem, Moving, Should I or Shouldn’t I)
- Psychology (Freudian, Jungian, Jungian Archetypes, Dreams)
- Pets (Dog, Cat, Pets)
- Fairy Tales (Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Little Mermaid)

And trust me when I say that there are even more! I really love that this book basically serves as a master list for any kind of tarot spread I could want. If I were feeling ambitious (and I do, occasionally) I would try to work my way through this book, doing the designated spread for every single day. In fact, I had seriously considered doing this for about a month or so before writing and posting my review. But, the thing is, though many of these spreads are fun themes that one could use anytime, many of them are also rather situation-specific. I can’t really do a spread about divorce if I’m not … you know… in that situation? So, I decided against that plan.

But I did try out a few spreads from the book and all of them were excellent.

I loved this book, and I’m so glad that I got the chance to try it out early. You can be assured that it’s on my wishlist, and I will be recommending it to every tarot reader I know!

Hi guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing 365 Tarot Spreads by Sasha Graham. Special thanks to Llewellyn Publications via Netgalley for letting me read/review this early!

The cover is nice, as it shows some tarot cards, I like the simplicity - although you can't really say that tarot cards are simple as they are so complex, each and every card has a special meaning and message.

I really loved the layout of the book. This goes through a different tarot spread for each day of the year. It's jam-packed with lots of information on what happened historically, religiously etc of every day. There's a lot of information that is neat to know, but I never knew! There are lots of spreads that are brand new. There are ones that are familiar to readers, variations on crosses and things like that, but there are some cool new ones that I can't wait to look at. The ARC of this didn't show all the spreads, it only gave a smattering of them, but I'm sure each and every day is new and exciting.

I'm very impressed with this book, and I'll likely be buying it when it becomes available. I don't feel that I'm at a professional level when it comes to reading tarot cards, but with this book I'm convinced that even the novice will progress quite beautifully since this book allows a daily practice to be conducted without it getting boring or repetitive.

I recommend this for anyone who has a love for Tarot, or anyone that wishes to become a more advanced reader.
