I was already teetering on the edge of stopping when the guy was still literally receiving a blowjob seconds before talking to the heroine on the phone a week after they semi-hooked up, but when the heroine decided to give her douchebag ex another chance the day after sleeping with the hero, that just pushed me over the edge completely. This was just not my cup of tea sadly, even though the synopsis seemed so promising. I wish the hero was portrayed less manwhorishly.
I gave it two stars instead of 1 solely because I like the author's writing style.

I was bored to tears for most of the book. There's no tension or question of will they/won't they, it's just a matter of time before the player-who-has-a-soft-spot-for-kids earns the trust of the single mom.

If you've read the first two book in the Filthy Beautiful Lies series, than you probably think Pace Drake is the world biggest playboy and could never settle for one woman. But what everyone thinks about this man and what he's really like are a bit different. Yes, he's slept with many woman. But it only takes one to make a man see where his future lies and for Pace....that woman is Kylie Sloan.

I loved Pace in Colton's books. He was the brother that would stand behind you when you needed it, tell you when your head was up your ass or just be there for you. I was so happy Kendall Ryan was giving him his own story, because I knew there was more to Pace when we got our first glimpse of Pace with Max. He was a man who had a lot of potential, he just needed a reason to throw his playboy ways behind him. Of course, he find that reason in Colton's employee. He was warned away from her, but he couldn't help but be someone that could help lesson Kylie's burdens. He knew nothing about being a single parent, but he kept putting himself out there with her, not knowing if he was ever going to get this gun-shy woman to trust his feelings towards her. I was pretty sure I was ready for Pace to come help distract me from some of my day-to-day craziness if Kylie wasn't open to his line of helping.

As a mom, I knew where Kylie was coming from and could understand her need to protect herself and her son from falling for a man who I thought might not stick around. But I couldn't understand how she could push Pace away, when he's never given her any reason to doubt him, despite what his past might say about him. But was quick to give Max's father a second chance when he's abandoned her when she needed him most. It was frustrating, even when I could sympathize with her situation and understand how she struggled to make the right decision for herself and her son.

As much as I loved Colton's books, I think Pace is my favorite Drake brother. There was so much more to this man than just his sex god looks. The author did a fantastic job of giving Pace a depth that demonstrated his struggles with his feelings for this woman and her son versus who he was minutes before he realized Kylie really did need him. You don't have to agree with everything Pace did, but it was hard to deny that he was the perfect man for Kylie and father to Max.

Another fabulously delicious read from Kendall Ryan. She's a must read author for me and never disappoints in giving readers a book that doesn't allow for you to put it down until the very last page is read.

I REALLY enjoyed Pace & Kylies story! I love the playboy turn good guy storylines!!! I just wanted more of it! It only has 4 instead of 5 stars because i felt i wanted a but more out of this storyline? Something was kissing and not sure what.

DNF. It was boring. Nothing about the story interested me. The characters weren't interesting. The dialogue was boring. There was zero sexual tension between the hero and heroine. It might get better, but I couldn't listen to anymore of this story.

I'm in love with this series. From the very first page of Filthy Beautiful Lies, Kendall hooked me. I fell in love with Colton. Then I fell in love with his brothers, Pace and Collins. Yes, that's a tad slutty, but what can ya do? I love the way Kendall writes these characters. Her writing style is clean and witty, and these characters are funny, sexy and smart. Pace is a player. Big time. He's the fun loving, 'nothing bothers him' brother. But, when he meets Kylie he wants more. No one takes him seriously especially Kylie. His brothers warn him off and she tells him she won't date him. She's not looking for a fling, she wants someone that will love her and her son. Kylie has an accident and has to call Pace. He comes running and wants to show her that he's not who she thinks he is. Pace easily falls in love with Max her son and Kylie can't help but be touched. She wants to fight against her feelings for Pace, but he is turning out to be a caring man, a wonderful friend and her son loves him. Can Kylie get over her past and trust that Pace's feeling are true? Can Pace prove to everyone, including himself, that he deeply cares for Kylie and Max. Thank you, Kendall for giving me Pace. I can't wait for Collins. I think he's going to be my favorite :)

"Tell me about Kylie." I say to Colton.
"Fuck no. You and Kylie? No. Abso-fucking-lutely not. If this is what you came here to talk about, you can leave now."

"A beautiful man with a smooth tongue who says all the right things doesn’t excite me anymore."
Turning to face her, I ask, "What does excite you?"
"A man who is kind to my child."

I sit down beside him, realizing that the last time we were alone on a couch, I mounted him like a horse and rode him. No, I certainly don't need to add alcohol to the equation. Geez, I'd be bucking against him like a bronco.

He'd been so strong, so commanding with his filthy words and massively large cock, yet tender and sweet at the same time.

"What should I do?" I ask Collins.
"Don't be a dumbfuck"
"That's your advice, asshole?"
"You're a Drake. Figure it out. Go get your girl back."

"Goodnight, Moon." I whisper.

I really enjoyed this story. I shared it almost start to finish with my husband also which was fun!

Great storyline! Loved the ending and epilogue!

Well that was not good. Not bad either but it's just the same old same old... Kendall Ryan's first books were really good but since her first series, everything look exactly like others published novels. Same bad boy rich boy, same naive girl. Boring.

This was a fun story. There was a strong connection between Pace and Kylie. So strong that things between them moved ridiculously fast. I did like Pace’s devotion and the way he bonded with Max. Kylie was independent and relatable. Of course, there were plenty of things that made me angry too, but that’s all personal preference. While this book wasn’t life-changing, it was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

Oh. My. Gosh. Pace is so much sexier than Colton! I loved loved loved this love story about the playboy turned knight in shining armor!
