As usual, the wit and sarcasm that rolls of Rose has me silently chuckling away to myself, whether its on my sofa or at work while I'm eating my lunch (earning me some funny looks, not that I care). Her banter with Christian, Dimitri, or various other teachers is highly amusing, however nothing compared to her banter with the lovely Adrian Ivashkov. It could be my fictional crush on Adrian is due to having already read the series, as well as Mead's Bloodlines series, however I do remember loving his character from the beginning regardless of how many times I've now read the books!
The end of this storyline, always brings tears to my eyes, and I think it always will. Dimitri and Rose's relationship is slowly evolving, however the 'star-crossed lovers' scenario is bound to drive any reader crazy, and want to read the next novel straight away.

As the series goes on and the story builds, I’m definitely getting more into this series. Wish I had read it a decade ago when I first started buying the books and was more into this type of world.

I shouldn't have bought this series. I shouldn't. Now I'm loving it, I will have to buy the rest of the books and I will be poor for the rest of my days.

I'm giving it 5 stars because 4 didn't cover how much I loved the book though I still don't think it is on par with other of my 5 stars books. But, oh boy. You know when you read a book but you don't realise you're reading a book and when you do you have already finished such book?
Well, anyways. THIS BOOK. I read in one day in two sittings. I'm not even English native speaker so I can tell you that the wrriting is easy, engaging, funny and very very easy to follow. Also, though this book doesn't deal with the kind of problems the first one did, it still surprises me that this series throws some questions out there.
I still have some problems with Rose and his bitchy attitude. I know she's suppossed to be a badass and all that, but sometimes she's too close to the MarySue line for me to like her. However, I'm delighted to see that the character developement here is real. I swear to God I was crying while reading the last 2 pages of this book.
I can't wait to pick up the third one, but I don't want to because I know I'm going to fly through it and then I won't have any more VA books to read.

Another fun vampire academy story. The pacing of this book was great, so much would happen in each chapter. I found myself wanting to read just one more chapter, and another chapter, and another. Also, it had been awhile since I read the first book, so I appreciated the author reiterating the different groups- Moroi, dhampir, and Strigoi and the characters. I’m excited to continue this series.

amazing loved it fast pace and perfect ending. Legit cried when mason died and for rose she made my heart bleed. I’m obsessed with adrien (though picture him as a blond) finished in like 3 days. Dimitri kinda pissed me off but he gets a pass. Love roses mum, she went through things in a kind of bad way but she’s still strong just wish she could’ve had it all like hopefully rose will. Lissa seems very helpless and it drives me crazy, she could do so much more, but no she just complains, she’s not even that good of a friend considering everything rose does she always wants to make it just about herself.
