Heavier than The Sword in the Stone. Brings up important points about responsibility, consequences, leadership, war. King Pellinore provides comic relief.

This book is about murdering animals and flirting with animals. Way better than the first one for me.

Paperbound Book Club April Pick (part 2)
(we are reading the omnibus, but separating it into each book so I’m reviewing them individually)

I guess I’m starting to get confused as to what the NYT meant when they said this omnibus was a recounting “in compelling detail” because I’m not getting that impression.

I was eager for this second installment and like the first, it felt a little disjointed. I was expecting a grand story about Morgan le Fay and while it started off promising, it progressed in a less than astonishing way.

More to come for this review once book club meets.

This entry was more a bridge from the first to the next in the series and not much actually happens.

Not a lot happens here. It is not as creative or as quirky as the first. Instead of being quirky and light, it is silly and ridiculous, and not in a fun way, just idiotic.
