this wasn’t a bad book. it had quite a good story and i enjoyed reading about him falling in love both with her and her son.

however, and this i write with no hate towards the author, i think the writing style of this book wasn’t really my thing. i usually skimmed over parts of it if i could.

but i enjoyed the story.

Get ready to swoon! Justin isn't what I would call an alpha, but if you mess with his woman, you better watch out! She is a single mom struggling to make ends meet and he is an NHL star. Opening day at a youth hockey camp and the two crossed paths and little did they know their lives would never be the same again. This doesn't have all the angst, but there are walls built that need to be knocked down. The fact that he was a bit of a playboy does cause her to proceed with caution, but she also has an unsavory past that she fears will make him run for the hills. There is so much sweetness in this book. There are a few sour moments as well, so no worries about getting a tooth ache. ;) There is also plenty of humor included. The characters are wonderfully written as is the book as a whole. Oh and did I mention she was a single mom? Yeah, just wait til you see Justin with her child. It reads easily and rather quickly... of course that may be because you won't want to put it down. There is some sexual content, though only a small amount. This book isn't about their sexual relations. While this is part of a series, each book can be read as a stand alone and features a different family.

*I received an ARC of this book.

This Is Forever - This Is Series #4- Review

Couple: Caroline & Justin

Author: Natasha Madison

Tropes: hockey romance, NHL romance, wrong side of the tracks, opposites attract, age-gap (small), single parent, single mother romance, found family

Review: Not your average hockey romance but one that will leave you wanting more. The story takes us to the ice when playboy Justin Stone has to rehab his image after a season that ended not so well for him.

We soon see that Juston has many layers and is not the air headed playboy the media and hockey world believe him to be. While hosting his youth hockey camp, he runs into Caroline and sparks fly. Upon their crash meeting, protectiveness and compassion rear their heads inside Juston and urge him to lend a hand to the mother trying her best.

Caroline is a single mother who struggles to get by and allow her son, Dylan, to have his best life. Trying to hide from her past while simultaneously attempting to better her future, she enrolls her son into a summer hockey camp.

When the two meet many old wounds begin to fester in Caroline and bring up pasts horrors she has tried to move on from. This book is emotional and gritty with a touch of spice that adds the heat. Justin is a dream hockey player who only has eyes for Caroline and attempts to lessen her burden by taking Dylan under his wing. The love between the three of the is pure and this strength Caroline shows when dealing with her demons is inspiring within the pages.

This book is a great hockey read that features many faces from other series and allows us to laugh in the brief glimpses of light in darkness.

I recommend this for anyone who lives genres like this or wants a quick emotional read.

Rating: 10/10, get ready to have all the feels…and tissues for this book!
