A short, fun, listen. The definition of swashbuckling adventure. I had never read it before and so I was really curious how it ended (the Muppets version is all I’ve ever seen, and I couldn’t remember the end of that either)

It was fun. Probably a fun read aloud. But lots of olde words and nautical terms.

I read this recently thinking that I enjoyed Treasure Island as a child. If you are thinking the same, it is worth another read. The characters are very well written and the plot is interesting. I love sea tales, and this one was no different.

I listened to this Audible-adaption of the book, which was EXCELLENT. Mostly (from reviews) it's the original story, with a few small tweaks here & there. Full cast recording with small sound effects (flies buzzing, birds in the jungle, the sounds of waves, rigging, etc.). Really well done, brings the story to life in the most adventurous way! Hard to stop listening - really fast-paced. I had never read "Treasure Island" before & did not realize how violent & occasionally bloody & brutal it became. Great story, no wonder it's a classic. Highly recommend this version.
