I adore Sherman Alexie's poetic prose. He feels like home. This is the short story which inspired the film, "Smoke Signals," one of my favorites. I'm sorry to say it has taken me years to read this particular story, but it was worth the wait.

2016 review:
Interesting short story about two men who go to a different city to pick up the remains of one of the boy's father. There are memories and conversations. All in all interesting, but too short for my taste.

Read for ENC1102. I loved Thomas-Builds-the-Fire's character. Lowkey wanted to give him a hug, poor guy.
