The British slang made the conversation feel forced and it made it difficult to push through.

Plus a grown adult woman referring to sex as “the sex” because she’s a virgin? Cringe af.

Cute romantic comedy. The MFC got a little too precious for me at times and the plot was very predictable, but overall was a good little romance novel.

Who would have thought I’d be rating a friends to lovers book so high? Certainly not me, but this one was just TOO cute! I’m so glad I did an immersive read for this book because the accents on audio were sheer perfection. I did not want to put this book down! Freya is relatable to me on many levels and I really liked that she was a genuinely wonderful person, as well. Mac. Good gracious, what a man. I loved him so much. His love for his family and friends was so nice to see and I really adored him. This book had me giggling like a fool multiple times (the never have I ever scene? the kilts? 😂) and also pulled on my rusty little heartstrings a few times, too. This was my first Amy book and it was such a good one to start with. I will absolutely be reading more of her stuff.
