Loved this book. Loved it. Great plot, good characters - interesting twists, right up to the end.

The beginning was captivating. The middle was interesting. The last part was infuriating. And unsatisfying. And stupid.

I’ve loved this movie for so long, but the book truly is better. You learn so much more from the individual entries. This is the first book in a while that I just couldn’t put down. Great!

Dark, disturbing. Very creative and well written.

I really wish they found evidence to get Amy. I don't think Desi was great but he did not deserve what was done to him. Not at all. So after she did that, I was really hoping she got caught. Also bringing a child into this mess? These people needed a divorce. Nick also sucks for cheating on his wife. They both suck and that's the point.

really great insights into the psychopathy of the FMC, however the book is entirely too boring in the beginning, and is saved by the excellent plot twist, and the wondrous monologues of a rageful woman.
If there is anything I have learned from this book, it is that you should always believe the victim, unless their name is Amy Elliot Dunne

Very obviously written in 2012 and did not age well. Neither Nick nor Amy are likable or complex anti-heroes. They BOTH suck and the author bends over backwards to make you root for Nick continuing to pile on to Amy's character in a “not all men bitches be crazy” 180 half way through the book. Having Amy lie about sexual assault is gross and harmful. I was expecting a good for her book and instead was just annoyed and found myself rolling my eyes constantly.
