Wow. This series took over my life and I absolutely loved every minute of it!
The world building here was absolutely fantastic and it just made you want to keep reading. I honestly was so absorbed with this world and the characters. Oli is a badass and I truly love her and enjoyed her story. She was great from the very beginning. Her attitude, her strength and just overall she is a very strong female character! All the bonded men are absolutely amazing too. Each on their own right are just perfect for Oli. Their devotion and love to her make me love them so much more. Each of these character’s development was so well written and it added so much to the story.
North, Nox, Gryphon, Atlas and Gabe are so hot, loving and just overall some of the best male characters I’ve seen.
The spice. Ufff. Slow burn for the first book but man oh man doesn’t it pick up after that!! Ahh the spice it is top tier and these men are so edible I cannot

Absolutely one of my favorite book series, hands down. Loved all of it
Overall Series Rating: 3.5
This Book: 3.75
Ughhhhh I was so looking forward to this series—and there really was a lot that I liked about it, but man—I think poor storytelling was this series’ undoing.
The plot is actually SO good but the execution was severely lacking. I think the author tries to go for “shock” revelations but they just end up leaving the reader utterly confused.
Not to mention the sheer volume of redundancy in this book. Rather than exploring the histories of our other characters or having meaningful interactions with the full cast, we got montage explanations of shit we’ve already seen 10x over.
Gabe is one of our main characters, yet I never see him. Gryphon only has two modes: Tac Team Guy and super awesome at sex. Nox is obviously someone you grow to love but I don’t think his change had enough time to really feel authentic. Almost like the author was tired of making him an asshole so she just “fixed” it.
I’m upset that the history of the god-bonds wasn’t revealed earlier in the series. In all honesty, I would have preferred the first three books to be about the god-bonds and their many lives and then the last three books be the culmination of that story when they finally find themselves all in the same lifetime for the first time. That would have been MUCH better because at least 30-40% of these books is pure filler with no real purpose.
I think the last four books were virtually carbon copies of eachother: fight against resistance, someone is hurt, panic, flee, make a plan, fight resistance again, find out new information, fight, and a half baked spice scene.
Like omg I was SO tired of the monotony.
Plus the world building was just not even attempted. I thought I understood where we were but the last book completely threw my theory out the window so I’m now very confused about that as well.
Not to mention that Vivian’s death was so shallow. You didn’t make his character complex or important enough for us to care about him in the way we were supposed to. Why did I only learn about his history in their world AFTER he died??? It was supposed to be a turning point and it fell FLAT.
Also, Silas Davies death was trash.
Pain gods death was trash.
Our heroes barely even fighting in the final battle? Trash.
Killing Vivian in the RANDOM and UNNECESSARY way that he died?? Trash.
There was just so much that really upset me about this series because of the fact that I was SO unbelievably excited to read it. I’m still glad I read it, I am and forever will be a Gabe and Atlas girly. I did enjoy their bond group dynamic. I just longed for more out of the story.
The covers are stunning and I am excited to display them in my shelf.
Would I recommend this series?
It would fully depend on the person but for the most part, not really.

I am left with an itch that is not scratched. Unholy and unsatisfying.

After the last battle is won she says: "He maps out all the little bumps and bruises on my skin, most of them from my own clumsy nature...". Sounds like a really captivating final battle...
Honestly, liked the other books in this series better, even though those were also 2 stars. I was reading this series from more of the smut rather than the plot, and when it started transitioning to plot-heavy points to conclude the series, it just ended up being kinda weak. I mean the main character was so Mary-Sue that all of her flaws were wildly unbelievable. Telling me that she is clumsy, but never showing it to me makes me believe that she's more delusional than actually clumsy. Also when her ability is to literally rip away people's souls and power herself up, any form of risk goes away.

I’m only giving this 2 stars because it’s finally finished
This just scrapes 3 stars for me just because I really like the characters. It was a really flat, boring kind of plot for the close of this series. It felt a little slapdash and very drawn out in places. Internal monologue’s were all remixes of other characters thoughts so felt v repetitive again.
