After bingeing this series, I was a bit disappointed with the end. There was a lot of build up to the god-bonds, the cycling, etc. and the finale comes down to a villain monologue and a neat tidy finish in the last fifty pages or so.
The pace of this book was even slower than the last and it felt like it had lost a lot of steam. It either needed to be a 7 book series where the god-bonds were WAY more developed then leading to an epic climax or it should’ve been a bit shorter and wrapped up in book 5. This book gets 3.5 stars but the series overall is still a 4.
It took me FOREVER to finally get into this series but glad I finally read it!

Three stars mostly because of my love for the series as a whole but this book…wasn’t for me.
Five books of fleshing out our characters and they all felt one dimensional in this one. The final conflict seemed to come out of nowhere, was vague, and rushed. It was also very repetitive.
There were no high stakes to keep me invested because the characters became too powerful and every conflict was solved almost immediately.
I absolutely LOVED the beginning of this series so it’s a disappointing ending.
