I have loved all of the other books in this series, but this one let me down.
I loved all of the build-up, the story, the characters, but the ending was meh. I wanted more! I also wanted more from the epilogue.
I also have questions left over! WTF is Oli's 3rd gift?!? Why is it mentioned, and why was she scared to tell them what it was? I NEED TO KNOW! LOL.
4.5
A lot of build up I just wish the last god bond was harder to kill. Just seemed to easy and was to quickly wrap up the series.

DNF at 22%. I just can't. I loved the first 2-3 books, I devoured them in a few days. The characters were great and interesting (with one exception but I'm not going to get into that), the plot was sort of mysterious enough to keep me interested and even though the world-building wasn't necessarily the best, it was good enough that I wanted to know more.
I struggled with book 5, but pushed through. After investing so much time on this series and recommending it to many, I needed to see it through. I got through the first 15%, was bored to death, pushed onwards in hopes for more action, more emotion, more anything . It didn't deliver. Just couldn't do it to myself, and it's a DNF at 22%. I know enough about the ending from friends to know I made the right choice.
I'll forever be a bit bitter and sad about the potential this series had, for it to just go down the drain. This book did a disservice to Oli, to most of the guys in the group, all the side characters and to the world in general. If anyone ever utters the words "God bonds" or "sould-bonding" again I will scream.

This book wrapped up the storyline nicely. Could have been better, but it was sufficient.
Overall, I really enjoyed the series. My sole complaint is with the sex scenes. I'd honestly rather have left them out. They were very mechanically written - insert tab A into slot B. Over and over, repeat.
