This was a good start to the series! I was automatically invested on finding out what happened and how Clarke got stuck in this different world and what she had to do with it as a human. Ryan,  a fae guardian has been in exile for many years and Clarke is the only one that can see him. I'm excited to continue this series next month.

I was a bit worried about how the story began, but I ended up reading the book very fast. I just couldn't stop. I ended up liking all the characters and I am interested in seeing what comes next.

Got this on Stuff Your Kindle Day. I’m not sure if I’ll read more in the series.

Things I liked:
  1. Grifter FMC
  2. Curse Magic/glyphs
  3. Fast paced writing and interesting external conflicts

Things I didn’t like:
  1. After dealing with the murder of his son’s mother you’d think Rush would do MUCH BETTER about preventing pregnancy. This made me so mad!!!
  2. There were so many creatures and governments and magic types and titles. Even with the map and glossary I was struggling.

Unique and enthralling

This was a unique story and I found that I couldn't put it down for long.
Compelling characters, and ample side stories will make for a great series. I look forward to the next book.
