Interestingly imagined universe. Interesting mix of history, mythology, religion, and technology. I found this sometimes difficult to follow; I liked Seveneves much better, but this much earlier book is good.
Why did I wait so long to read this book? It's like Stephenson smooshed everything I love (except for dragons and elves) artfully together in one book: archaeology, history, languages, cryptography, computers, and smart ass females.
