Sort of meandering and a little repetitive but there are some worthwhile nuggets inside. I’m not down with her full scale assault on sugar (intuitive eater here) -thankfully it’s a small part of this book - but this was an interesting exploration of anxiety and ways to come to terms with it or maybe see it a little bit differently.

The book does a great job reframing anxiety. Rather than something to be medicated and stigmatized, Sarah embraces her anxiety as a key part of her identity. She highlights both the negatives and positives of her condition, offering strategies and tactics to those who suffer from anxiety (or to those whose loved ones do). Besides the occasional stress-out, anxiety is not a serious problem for me, but this book did a lot to help me better understand the condition and, ultimately, to better empathize with those who suffer from it.

I enjoyed the structure / layout of the book and found it easy to follow. The book both resonated and offered helpful insights.

It was pretty good. Anyone with anxiety or depression with find something to relate to in these pages. I really feel like this book falls into the category of self-help as much as it does a memoir. However, there are some messages that aren't fleshed out enough and are left with dangerous paths open to the mind to follow. Worth reading and thinking about.
