Pretty good post-apocalyptic dystopian (I know) novel about a group of people living in a silo that extends deep underground. Soon it becomes clear that things are not exactly as they seem, and... you know the drill.
Howey's writing was consistent and enjoyable, and I found myself for the most part getting invested in the world and the characters.
My primary complaint would be that it felt a bit long, and there were occasionally times my interest waned, which may be explained by the fact this was originally written as five separate novellas rather than one big novel. It's possible that format would have made for a better reading experience; couldn't say for sure.
Also - while there is plenty of material here that's fresh, some of it did feel like it was treading on familiar territory.
Still, I quite enjoyed it and would heartily recommend.

Loved it. Would have preferred to give it 4.5 because of one plot that annoyed me, but absolutely loved it and can't wait to get to library to pick up #2 today!
