One more book done for the reading rush challenges and this one was right in the middle for me. Again a lengthen review will be posted in my Wrap Up Video for the read-a-thon but I didn't seem to like it, neither did I hate it. So yeah I don't know..

I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read it and not listened to the audiobook. Sadly I found the narrators voice very bland and when she was alternating between different roles, there wasn't much difference in how she talked.

The story itself was short and sweet with a little spice thrown in there.

Two lost souls happen upon each other and once they look past their differences they see each other very differently.

Forced Proxemity. Enemies to Lovers. Regency Romance.

It was a nice read but I think it needed beefing out a bit and more depth adding to the characters and storyline for it to be a better read.

George & Florence

This is a bite-sized instalove, forced proximity romance. It was a good way to pass a couple of hours. I found the end to be extremely improbable, but I liked that the author actually mentions that herself. I enjoyed this book.

3.5 stars. I'm rounding this one up to 4 because I just love how fiercely Florence goes after what she wants.

Florence is looking for a ship to take her back to Italy. George is at the docks to find a courtesan for the night. Instead, they bump into each other and then must escape a mob. They end up locked in a tiny room together and they share a lot more than they expected.

Honestly, Florence is definitely the best part of the book. George is a bit too defeatist for me, but at least he lets Florence take the lead and makes sure she consents to everything along the way. This is a short, fun read.

Thank you to Emily Murdoch for providing a copy of this book for review. All opinions are my own.

Dafuq did I just read? It wasn't steamy, it didn't make sense, it would have def been a DNF had it been even a little longer (I almost DNFd it even so). Literally no idea what the point was. A one night conversation leads to a wedding a week later? Why? Just, why? And what?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a romantic novella about two lonely people who discover love at first sight in the most peculiar of places. Lord George is a lost, lonely soul. Florence is far from everything she knows. Their encounter is electric. George’s sadness and loneliness is so heartfelt. The feeling of being utterly alone is horrible, and it is depicted vividly. Florence is feisty and has a short temper!

This is a very well told novella. The plot was intricate and fast paced. It had romance and passion. It was focused on the two main characters the whole time and the development of that relationship was spot on.

I am really enjoying this novella series, if you want a quick, fun, romantic read this book is for you!

A Lord, Lord George Northmere, wandering the London docklands looking for a certain courtesan, and a female, Miss Florence Capria, searching for a ship to take her home to Italy. But can they find each other before being totally lost.
An enjoyable romantic story, a short entertaining read.

I am volunteering to leave a review for a beta of this book. I enjoyed Florence and George's foray to the London docks. How could a Lord and a lady think trouble would not occur? Find out how they handle it, and if they can find an HEA. Florence is looking to go home to Italy. George is the youngest male of his family, and very insecure, thoughtful, lovable.

Lord George and Florence meet in a dockyard in London late at night, both looking for an escape. This is not a clean read.
