This book was exceptional in so many ways. The writing style was unique and at times, at fault of solely myself as the reader, hard to follow. The robust information, enchanting sensational aroma of cultivation, by far deserved more than the attention I could give.

The story itself was beautiful. The characters fought for the ending of the game, until they fought for their ending. I wish I could say more about how this book just invites or unveils magical imagination. A beautiful story, indeed.

A very enjoyable read. I loved the language, it worked so well with the whole essence of the book. The jump in time, foreshadowing and cliffhangers, added well to the mystery of the plot, and I liked how things were slowly revealed, like fictional quotes from a character not met until halfway through the book

I'm really enjoying this so far, it feels like a lot of YA fiction I've come across (what I usually read) but more lush and with a different pacing. I like that Celia is the mysterious/enigmatic figure raised by a harsh parent, because I feel like it's usually the guy character in that trope. Not sure I like how Marco is treating Isobel, and also feel disappointed - I had thought maybe Isobel was actually Celia at first and that their romance had already started.

I enjoy the Bailey-Poppet-Widget thread the most.

I think that this book probably isn't taken very seriously by the book community and I get it (vibes over substance), but I love it.

Whenever i take a break from reading this, I find myself incredibly disappointed that I don't have a band of rêveurs to chase a magical circus with. Ah well, maybe I'll try shifting (this is a joke).
