I liked this book and found Hades to have some great one liners. I wish we got to hear a little more of the Hercules story. I did enjoy his interaction with the odd sisters and Circe, Primrose, and Hazel. I also enjoyed the original Circe reveal. My favorite part was the Pflanze reveal though. Overall, I still enjoy how these stories lace together and am looking forward to the next one.

⭐️ 3.5 - while I knew this was part of a series, I thought each book in it was more of a one shot with a small overarching thread. If anyone else is thinking that - it is not the case sadly. This book was far more about the odd sisters than it was about Hades. It was a good story and I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the other books first but it wasn’t the Hades centric story I was looking for.

This was the first book by Serena Valentino I read. I went in fully expecting to see Hades’ side of the story but was quite disappointed by how much time the plot spent one the three dreaded sisters.

The book was otherwise enjoyable and I liked seeing how Hades slightly interfered in some other villains’ stories, but I will not read anything more in this serie, the dreaded sisters story is quite literally the main story of the book rather than a sub plot, it gives annoying.
