i really liked it but also i took way too long of a break to finish it and now i just feel like i have to reread it to give good thoughts but also its a thick book and it would just happen again that i take too long. did reread the ending several times... ugh...
we never learned robins real name.....
i almost want to give it a five but i feel like i did in the moment think there were things that detracted from it. i really should take notes while i read.

4.8 estrellitas. Literalmente gracias por romperme el corazón con ese final.

Very good. I know it’s compared to The Secret History, but I think it’s much better. Also touched on how wore women still show more solidarity with their race because of the inherent privilege than with other oppressed people. Also loved the magic system and linguistics. The audiobook had alternate readers for the explanation sections of the book.

beginning to think it’s self sabotage to read all of rf kuangs books this year. i’m left in shambles and distress each time. nonetheless, i feel like babel is an acquired taste. i see why opinions on this book tend to be really decisive but i really liked it. it’s crazy how much this book feels so relevant now, i felt like a lot of the conversations and thing’s happening were a reflection for our society of today.
