I wanted to like this SO MUCH, but ... no, maybe because of where I am in my life. I was impatient with it - yes, I figured out who did what pretty early on (as I assume I was supposed to do), and yes, I thought the characters, particularly the protagonist, were one-dimensional, but I kept hoping for French's usual twists and turns and compelling changes ... but, no. I LOVE the Dublin mystery series, so I'm sad.
