I really enjoyed the whole series although I wish that the author would wrap up the mystery behind Ben's death and the other mysteries that she brought up about the cops from the previous books. Overall, the ending of this book felt rushed and I felt that it could have played out better. Maybe if she writes another book more things would be wrapped up and the series would feel more complete.

A pilgrim statue is the murder weapon in this Thanksgiving-themed episode of The Inn at Holiday Bay. When one of her guests is bludgeoned to death in the parlor, writer-turned-innkeeper Abby Sullivan can't help investigate alongside her police chief friend Colt Wilder.

The mystery in this book is interesting, and kept me guessing until the very end. The characters are still as fun and compelling as they always have been, and reading about their changing lives gives a lot of depth to the series.

Body in the Parlor

Another great story by Kathy Daley. Pilgrim in the Parlor can be a stand alone read but it's better to start from the beginning to know all the wonderful characters!
