I’m still loving this latest run of Runaways. I know I keep saying that, but it’s been so good! It’s a bit of the old and a bit of the new. There are still elements of the original series, but they’re not just rehashing old plots or anything like that. They’re taking new spins, letting the characters develop (which makes sense, considering everyone but Gert has aged three years) and so on.
In the last issue we saw that Karolina’s girlfriend had eaten the young-forever cupcake meant for Molly. This issue is basically the fallout for that little mistake. I’ll admit that while I wasn’t surprised by the revelation of who made the cupcake, I was slightly nonplussed. Go figure.
The Runaways are still having a lot of the same issues as when they were younger. They’re all too independent and stubborn, and on the whole they have trouble working as a team. It seems like they can only succeed in doing so when something or someone is on the line, and that’s probably not the healthiest way to motivate a group, now is it?

Yep, a conclusion to several storylines going on, with much angst and what about me. Don't think much of Julie Powers to be honest. And I feel sorry for Molly and Abigail. They are the ones who come off worse after all this.
