Unfortunately, I didn't really like this poetry collection until the end. There were definitely some lines throughout that really hit as well, but overall I didn't connect with it. My favorite part was definitely listening to the author read the poems.

Beautiful.

Nothing negative to say, but obviously not every poem can hit the same. My favourite ones were Dear Peter, The Punctum and Not Even — a million stars for those.

Vuong has such a masterful way with words and it’s beautiful to read. I will admit some poems did fall flat for me but I admired and loved the majority of them.
