More of the same, and just as good to read.
Troy, a cheese-rolling event, Agincourt, ... and an unexpected ending that sets up the next volume in a VERY interesting way.

Oh this one broke my heart for a while. I still very much enjoy these stories and trips all over / through (?) history, but admit it sometimes felt like a bit too much for one book. What was the point of the trip to see Isaac Newton for instance? Maybe it will be brought up again later. I'm not sure yet (and I'm already almost halfway through the next book, while I'm typing this) what to think of the different timeline idea in general. It's sci-fi / fantasy about timetravel so of course it works on paper and all, but I'm not sure if I'm a fan from the character development angle. Very neat idea though! (24 May 2024)

Again, not the most polished thing I've ever read- but huge fun. It feels a tad self-published, and this is possibly what adds to the charm...

From the Fall of Troy to the Battle of Agincourt, Max and the gang are back for more wild adventures! I really enjoyed this installment. The bulk of the story is the team setting up for Troy, and spending 7 months living amongst the Trojans while preparing to come back to see exactly what happened when Troy fell to the Greeks. As usual though, no matter how carefully they plan, things go terribly wrong.
There's also a quick jaunt back to the Cretaceous period, a thieving Isaac Newton, and some cheese-rolling in Gloucester.
I struggled with the ending of this one a bit though. It's weird...I didn't care for the alternate sci-fi ending, which I realize is kind of ridiculous considering this is a series about time-travel, but it somehow felt like a cheat. I can't really say much about it because I don't want to give anything away, but maybe it'll all make sense in book 4.
Overall though, I'm still happy with this series and will keep on chuggin' along with the tea-living crew of St. Mary's!
