It feels quite weird to be the only one around here who's read this book, which is actually written in a pretty important international language. Of course the book is not a masterpiece but back then, when I was a teenager, the subject was extremely appealing: the French Revolution, orphan sisters, marquises, kidnapping, love stories etc.
Apparently, the (many) film versions are more popular.
