Just honestly a bit far fetched. There were too many plot points shoe horned in, nothing felt like a clever twist. All of the characters were monotone and forgettable.

A really good, addictive read. Loses marks for a couple too many twists towards the end, and for the ridiculous assertion that Cowley Road is a dangerous area of Oxford. It's really not.

I thought it was time to try a new detective series, after having read a standalone by the same author. It is okay, but quite predictable.

Little Daisy had gone missing after a party. Her parents are in distress and her brother mute. What happened to her? We only find out at the very end.

O EPÍLOGO! Socorro, o epilogo!

2.5 stars rounded up to 3. This is book #1 in the DI Adam Fawley series. If the author’s goal was to set him up to seem like an incompetent tool, mission accomplished

Ending was a bit tangled and I don't feel like Leo's issues were fully resolved, but overall a great mystery with a wonderful pacing.
